Welcome to the world of Mohnaa — dancer, choreographer, director and digital creator. With over 16 years of training, a vibrant online community, her collective (The Indigo Casbah), and her brand (WrapKala by Moh), she celebrates movement, creativity, and connection.
Journey from Law to Dance
An LLM graduate from University College London — where she also choreographed productions at the Bloomsbury Theatre — she began her professional life as a lawyer. But her heart always belonged to the stage. Sixteen years of rigorous belly dance training, layered with a strong foundation in ballet, eventually led her to embrace dance not just as a passion, but as her life’s true calling.
Artistry and Achievements
Mohnaa’s journey has taken her across diverse creative spaces. She has appeared as a contestant on India’s Best Dancer (Season 2), directed and choreographed music videos for renowned Indian composers, and earned recognition at international dance competitions — first as a winner, and later as a jury member. Each milestone reflects her belief in dance as both discipline and expression, a balance she continues to refine with every performance.
A Digital Creator and Influencer
In addition to her work on stage and screen, Mohnaa has built a vibrant digital community. She has more than half a million followers on Instagram and close to 30,000 subscribers on YouTube, where her artistry, storytelling, and personality resonate with audiences worldwide.

She is currently developing a new avatar of her YouTube channel, which will soon feature an exciting mix of content — from dance performances and tutorials to unique life stories and creative explorations. Through these platforms, Mohnaa continues to connect with and inspire a global audience, making art accessible and relatable in the digital age.

Beyond her personal artistry, Mohnaa is deeply committed to community. She founded The Indigo Casbah, a collective rooted in collaboration, learning, and celebration of movement. For her, dance is not only about individual growth, but about building a shared rhythm where dancers and audiences connect in meaningful ways.

Expanding her creative journey beyond the stage, Mohnaa founded WrapKala by Moh — a brand dedicated to elegant, handmade, decorative belts and hip scarves, lovingly called “wraps.” Each piece is designed as more than just an accessory: it is a statement of individuality, a reflection of craftsmanship, and an extension of the artistry she embodies in dance.
